OCC’YGÈNE FUND
The regional patronage fund dedicated to tourism and leisure
The OCC’YGENE Fund is the only regional sponsorship initiative dedicated to tourism and leisure in Occitanie. Created by the Regional Tourism and Leisure Committee of Occitanie, this dedicated fund is hosted under the umbrella of the national Essentiem Fund. (The Essentiem Fund, whose board includes the CRTL Occitanie, is driven by a community of patrons and committed stakeholders. It supports the major transformations currently taking place in tourism practices through the development of projects serving the public interest — just like the OCC’YGENE Fund.)
3 PRIORITY AREAS
- Access to tourism and leisure for all, particularly for residents of the region who are the most distanced from these activities.
- Education and awareness of the environment in sensitive natural areas.
- The development of a positive and inclusive impact of tourism for territories and their inhabitants.
Through the commitment and generosity of its patrons, the fund enables stakeholders in Occitanie to act in order to :
- Support social initiatives that improve access to tourism and leisure
- Create solidarity within our territories
- Promote the acceptance of tourism
- Co‑develop sustainable practices
- Encourage knowledge and preservation of fragile ecosystems
- Strengthen inclusion and connections between residents and visitors

WHY DID TOULOUSE EVENTS BECOME A PATRON OF THE OCC’YGENE FUND ?
- Toulouse Events’ commitment to the OCC’Ygène Fund emerged naturally from the creation of the Occ’Ygène fair at the MEETT. From the very beginning of this event, Toulouse Events wanted to support a “caring,” inclusive and territory‑respectful form of tourism, in line with its own values and those of the CRTL Occitanie.
- It is the first regional initiative dedicated to sponsorship in the field of tourism and leisure. It supports projects of general interest that have a concrete impact on residents, young people, the environment and local territories.
- As a key player in event‑driven tourism in Occitanie, it was both natural and logical for Toulouse Events to stand alongside a fund that is shaping the tourism of tomorrow.
Being a patron of the OCC’Ygène Fund strengthens Toulouse Events’ role as a responsible actor in regional tourism and contributes fully to inclusion, solidarity, access to tourism for all, and the preservation of natural areas. It is not only about financially supporting a fund, but about taking part in a collective movement that truly matters for the region.
MICRO‑DONATIONS FOR THE OCC’YGENE FUND
During the 2026 edition of the Occ’Ygène Fair at the MEETT, from March 27 to 29, 2026, €0.50 will be donated for every ticket purchased through the online ticketing system.
